Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 25461
Change print default settings to 'current page'
Last modified: 2008-05-17 23:51:07 UTC
In the printer dialog for the spreadsheet by default 'all pages' is set. the result is that mostly some hundered unwanted pages of a workbook are printed, if you are too fast in clicking. It would be great if this default setting can be changed to 'current page'. Thanks!
Hi Bettina, one for you. Frank
Hi Docb, does another button at the side of the "print all" called "print current page" works for you? Take a look at these issues: 23455 and 5273. They are about wordprocessor but may works for all the program. You can see also the issue number 28417. This last is an defect instead of a enhancement, but is about to "Print only selected sheet", but doesn't work for him. I thanks in advance for your reply.
Hi Asrail, it is not really what I'm looking for. By default, you want to print the current page on a spreadsheet, whereas in a document you mostly print more than one page. (I see the difficulty of the same codebase compared to MS Office) So the proposal is to have an additional icon just to print the current page, additional to the 'print' and 'print directly' icon? Somewhat overloading the icon bar, but feasible. It it is on the print dialog it will not work, as the 'print directly' icon is mostly activated.
The purpose is add a button to the sidebar. Not in the print dialog. The will user see two icons, one for print current and one for print all, for all applications.
as said, sounds feasible, but sounds not very ergonomic
