Description treblig 2004-02-15 15:12:47 UTC
Hi,
I believe a useful security enhancement to OOo would be to split the
configuration and Option setting systems into a separate binary. When combined
with SELinux (or equivalents on other OSs) this would allow the configuration
files to only be writeable by these binaries and not by the main OOo binary.
Thus a security hole that allowed a macro virus or similar to spread would be
unable to alter further security settings.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
