Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 25982
mouse-over-effect stays after "save file" icon is clicked
Last modified: 2017-05-20 09:26:19 UTC
I found a minor problem that I want to show with the save-button: If I press the save button and let the mouse-cursor placed over it, the button keeps the mouse-over effect although it is locked then. If I re-place the mouse-cursor over it, this effect is not shown, like it should be. I have attached a screenshot that shows this problem after pressing this button and keeping the mouse over it. (Note: The mouse-cursor is not included in the screenshot.)

Hi Norbert, >> .. the button keeps the mouse-over effect although it is locked then. confirmed, however i cannot decide if this is considered to be a bug. >> If I re-place the >> mouse-cursor over it, this effect is not shown, like it should be. i think it makes just sense to show the effect = offer the "click me", when the document was again changed.
Hi norbert & maxweber, can you please explain what is the problems is as I did not understand this please. Thanks
Hi utomo99, Just save an OOo-document using the save-icon and keep thze mouse-cursor over the save-button: Then, you can see that the mouse-over effect (the bluse border, that is shown in the attached screenshot) still is shown like before clicking the save-icon, although the save-icon is disabled now! But if you move the mouse-cursor out of the save icon and place it again over the (disbaled) save-icon, the mouse-over-effect is not shown anymore. (This is OK.)
to maxweber: I think you have understood me wrong: I DON NOT mean that you should show the effect also after re-placing the mouse-cursor over the save-icon. I think this effect should be switched off after clicking the save-icon (also when keeping the mouse-cursor placed over it).
confirmed with 1.1.2RC (difficult to reproduce, as it is not easy to not move the mouse after clicking on the button..)
set prio P4 -> P5
SBA: Same in Build src680_m38. As long as the mouse pointer doesn't cover the icon entirely, it is easy to be seen. This does not harm anybodys work with the Office. The "mouse-over" effect vanishes immediately after the mouse is moved. And as far as I know, the "mouse pushers" tend to keep it moving. :-) SBA->OS: I know you have a lot of "bigger fish to catch" so please have a short look if this can get changed "on the way" sometimes. Set Target to OOo Later. Reassigned to OS.
George Brittingham - Wednesday, 22, 2004 I was able to replicate this problem easily my machine. Open Office 1.1.2 Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 AMD Athlon(TM) XP 1800+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.2GHz 512MB RAM 249MB used, 1000MB available Page File DirectX Version : DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) It might be useful to find out if this is just a GUI problem. You are writing to disk during the operation, and a problem with that is very serious.
os->ssa: Looks like the toolbox doesn't update as long as the mouse doesn't move
reassigned
