Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26262
Undoing a macro run should undo the entire action
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
If I run a macro that performs several actions, and then do "undo", each action is undone individually. To return to the state before I ran the macro, I have to undo several times. I would expect "undo" to undo the entire macro in one go. From the user's perspective, a single action has been performed, thus one "undo" should reverse that single action.
Created attachment 13667 [details] Contains a simple macro that inserts the date and some text. Run it and then do "undo".

IMHO this is not a Defect, but could qualify as prioritized Enhancement, because it would / could be easy to fix. Found no DUPL.
HI->JSK: Please take a look.
Making this a feature, setting target OOo Later (according to the Q-PCD) and reassign to bh for evaluation Please read http://framework.openoffice.org/proposals/macro/macrorecording.html, there's some information about the concept of the macro recorder and why this is difficult.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
