Description aparan 2004-03-17 13:26:48 UTC
1 Press F11 to open Stylist

2 Now I want to apply Text body style to a paragraph which is Default in
style.

Here I would wish to press T and get to the text body style or near it as in
normal lists everywhere and press Enter to get this done.

This behaviour is a general one with all OO.o apps. Also the mouse click has
to be specificaly on the item's name and not in the line where it resides.
This is not something natural in other softwares. OO.o should correct this, I
suppose.

** Similarly one would like to change to some other icon in the stylist menu
[paragraph, page, frame etc.] and press space to get the styles under the
specific category. ***

Any way issue is marked only as an enhancement.

Can't the target be set to OO.o 2.0?

using 680m74 - win2k - Writer

Now OO.o 2.0 is almost here. But the issue of keyboard accessibility has not
been addressed well. The present context of stylist which I mentioned is only
one that I singled out. There are other instances also.

A regular / proficient user of any application will be comfortable with using
the keyboard to execute commands. So it is common for users to press the
character which is the first character of the list item in any dialog to get
there and move further with tab or Alt + Character.

You may consider this aspect for enhanced user-friendliness.

Reopening issue.

confirming issue, changed target since nothing has been said or done for a long
time. Perhaps OO.o later could have this function.

Seems more like a usability issue than an accessibility one?
