Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26642
connector routing, connector anchor like in Visio
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:42:35 UTC
Hello, One great feature will be to have a similar functionnality of connector with MS Visio application. - User define anchor in any object group (can be attached internally or at the peripheral). Anchor can be also defined to set a cross point inside a wire. - Infinite number of wire point (can be dynamically added/removed) for both curved/straight wire - Automatic Routing capabilities (with shortest/lowest number of crossing/best look and feel path) - wire cross display (nothing ,o , + , x...) and layered routing upper/under/same level This will help in all OOO application (not only draw) to create powerfull diagram... Visio has currently no outsider in such lucrative market. Regards, Damien.
Reassigned to Bettina.

This feature is partially present in drawing application in 2.4. However, The crossing of wire is not well customizable, The automatic routing algorithm is not much performant. Thanks.
