Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 27250
Suggesting improved error message when trying to modify protected cells
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:36:13 UTC
Let's say that I want a new background colour (only as an example) to a selected range which has protected and unprotected cells. The sheet is protected of course. Well, I select some cells and use the background colour tool. I get the error message telling me that some cells are protected and can not be modified. The problem is that there is only one button: "OK". I would like there to be at least on more button: "Modify unprotected cells". This would save a lot of time in some cases, like when you select a big range of cells and only a few of them are protected and you only want to modify those unprotected cells. Wouldn't this be very nice...? Johnny Andersson Sweden

Tested with OpenOffice.org Calc 3.1. Still the same thing. The dialogue says that the work can't be done, even if it could on some cells, so instead of doing the task for unprotected cells only, nothing is done. Johnny Rosenberg
