Description egonw 2004-04-07 10:29:07 UTC
I've been trying to embed the Jmol applet (www.jmol.org) in a presentation,
and it did not work. The 'Class Location' did not allow to enter the jar in
which the applet class is located.

Just enter "*.*" in the filename box in the open dialog. Hit enter: all files in
the selected directory are displayed. Select the JMolApplet.jar file and hit
"open". the class name and the class location should be filled automatically.
Does this work for you? I am not familiar with JMol so I do not know what else
to do to show some molecules...

After investrigating this issue I tend to name it as enhancement.

Reassigned to Bettina. We should be able to insert .jar files as well.

Tried this in openoffice 2.4 and 3 Build BEA300_m2. I couldn't get any of the
java demos from the jdk (e.g. ArcTest, BarChart, DrawTest, Fractal, etc) to work
or the JmolApplet.jar file from jmol v11.4.2 .

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

The feature to insert applets has been removed from OpenOffice.org a long time ago.

Hi,

as well as add this function, the best would be to export the aplet java in the pdf document as PDF 3D for example.
best regards,
