Description eppb 2004-04-21 22:03:45 UTC
I am constantly getting errors with this version. When I close a document, I
get an "Illegal Operation" in module CFGMGR2.DLL after about 10 seconds.

I have upgraded to OOO 1.1.1 to see if this will fix the problem.
Comment 1 michael.ruess 2004-04-22 07:09:42 UTC
Selected correct component.
Comment 2 eppb 2004-04-22 14:12:19 UTC
Sorry, what is that supposed to mean?
Comment 3 hennes.rohling 2004-04-22 16:24:12 UTC
Reassigned.

@eppb:"What does this mean?"
- The library cfgmgr2.dll is built in module configmgr, which belongs to the
OpenOffice.org project (aka 'component') util(ities). The bug report need to be
tagged accordingly for correct processing. That you may have seen the problem
while using Writer is immaterial here.

Further:
- Are you really using 1.0.1? That version is very old. You say that you
upgraded to 1.1.1? Does the problem still occur? Did you try to repair the
installation (you can do this by running the setup program from the
installation)? Did this work before or did this start right after installing?

In 1.1.1 a crash generates a crash report, which you can mail to us. Please do
so, if the problem reoccurs. Please mention this issue (#28197#) in your
comments. If mailing the crash report does not work for you, please save it to
disk and attach to this issue.

FYI: As is, the problem report is very unspecific. Obviously cfgmgr2.dll works
well for many users. If I don't receive further detail, I'll close the bug
report as unconfirmed in ~2 weeks.

Thanks for the expanation.

So far, I've had OOO 1.1.1 installed for 3 days, and have not had this same
error yet.
