Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 28586
Same icon better if use one only
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:04:40 UTC
inside res dir there is same looking icons which use different name. I think it is better if we use global icons if it is use by some applications. example: some sc***** and sm***** is same, and others.
Hi utomo99, I think it could be helpful to tell us which icons you think about... reassigned to mh @mh: Hi mh, please take a look at this issue... Thanks
utomo > MCI: The icon which is used by more than one applications. such as in the functionbar. example : print preview, send documents, and many more. This I know when I try to change it I find this icon in /res/ directory when I build my OOo. Not all of my applications change. writer still use old icon meanwhile calc is changed. If we use global icons we will more efficently in the future to manage the resources. example change it, now it is considered as difficult to find the icons. I still not yet found the icons for print preview, send documents which is used by writer.
Sorry, some revision. I mean I can change the print preview and send documents on Writer and Calc. but it did not change on Draw and Impress. also with undo and redo icon. when I change it only change on Writer and calc, but Not in Draw & Impress. other sample: in res folder ftcenter almost same = sc10030 ftleft = sc10028 ftright = sc10029
mh->sts: can you confirm this issue ?
removed mci from CC
STS -> VA: hi volker, this issue is outdated and/or should be fixed "automatically" by the current icon update, right ;-)
This can probably be closed as a duplicate of Issue 57580... -> VA, How does Sun's 'icontool', map to these many duplicated icons (easily observed in CVS, etc.)? Is this problem visible to the tool's user(s) (i.e. Stella) ?... Cheers Andrew
Description unfathomable.
