Description norbert2 2004-05-10 11:20:59 UTC
Please ...

- open the first attached spreadsheet:
It contains a unprotected and a protected sheet.

- open the stylist-window if it is not already open:
I have added a user-defined style "Unbenannt1", that is applied to NO cell.

- right-click "Unbenannt1" and click "change" (german: "Ändern..."):
Nothing happens!

- right-click "Unbenannt1" and click "delete" (german: "Löschen..."):
Calc asks if you really want to delete this style.

- press OK:
Nothing happens! You cannot ask if something really should be deleted and then
do nothing after the user has confirmed!

I think it is in general OK to forbid these changements also if the style is
not applied, because I think to check such dependencies would be to much work /
to difficult.

But both, "Ändern..." and "Löschen...", should either open the window that
locked sheets cannot be changed or be disabled if there are protected sheets in
the document. But I would prefer the first suggestion, because just disabling
the items coul be a bit unintuitive: Just imagine a complex spreadsheet
containing many sheet where only one sheet is protected...
So I think the message that locked sheets cannot be changed would be the best
solution here. Excel (tested: Excel 2000) also does so...

------------------------------------------------------------

Please ...

- open the second attached spreadsheet:
It contains 2 equal sheets, but one is protected. Sheet 1 is the unprotected
one:

If you select move the focus between A1 and the other cells, you can see in the
stylist switching between "Standard" and "Ãœberschrift" (german).
This is OK.

- If you do the same in the protected sheet (Sheet2), the stylist does not show
the current style! I think this should be fixed to also show the style of the
focused cell within protected sheets.

Hi Niklas,

the second part is not reproducible using OOo1.1.2rc3 but the first is.

This seems to be a duplicate of issue #4679.
