Description tuharsky 2004-05-14 13:49:50 UTC
I have files in directory that has "executable" attribute off for me (thus I
cannot see the files inside of directory). I cannot go (chdir) to the directory,
I can only see the directory is there.
But if I try to open files from Writer, and I try to go to the directory, OOo
acts as if I were able to do that, and displays dozen of 0 files; name of file
is 0 and size is also 0.

OOo should not simulate chdir to denied directory. It should not mislead the
user that he has some zero files in the directory. First moment I though "Is my
filesystem or HDD damaged?"

OOo should correctly state that the directory is not accesible.

I think there is some bug in OOo File manager code.

Framework issue.
Comment 2 thorsten.martens 2004-05-17 10:28:43 UTC
TM->HRO: Reproducible in a 1.1.2RC (m37 build). All values within the file-open
dialog are set to 0. Document icon is a standard icon. The folder shouldn´t
handled like it is accessible.
