Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 29314
Make Impress hide bulleting for empty paragraphs on a slide
Last modified: 2004-09-17 00:44:41 UTC
When making a presentation in a hurry, one usually leave a last empty paragraph on many slides. Some users also use empty paragraphs for vertical spacing, as it is sometimes more comfortable that positioning the content box with the mouse (which messes up the relationship with layout from presentation-wide slide design etc.) MS PowerPoint has a comfortable behaviour with respect to empty paragraphs on slides: when they are bulleted and empty, it shows the bullet in a dimmed color when editing the presentation, and hides completely whne the presentation is played. This way, one doesn't have to go through the whole presentation and delete empty paragraph just to get rid of those dangling dots from some slides. This saves the day especially if one is in a hurry to prepare a presentation ASAP.
