Description realdanielekfa 2004-05-18 15:50:25 UTC
The AutoComplete feature is nice, and the automatic collection of words is also
great. However, it would be very nice if you could turn off the collection of
words from documents you open while still have it collect words while you type.
I'm thinking something like this in the settings dialog:

[*] Collect words
   [*] Collect words you type.
[ ] Collect words from documents you open.

I need to read a lot of Word documents at my school, and no offense to my
teachers but most of them spell like s*** - so if I open one of their documents
in OOO and all their typos and spelling mistakes are collected, it can really
screw up my words database ;)

SBA->Daniel: Some hints:

(1) In a case of "bad spelling docunets", you may switch off the collection of
words via dialog (before you open them!) OR switch on AutoSpellcheck so that
only "good words" get collected.

(2) To save your "precious list": You can select the collected words and copy-
paste them into a "WordCompletion Kick-Start document". Then open this document
after you started the office. The words get into the list and then you can turn
off the collection.

Reassigned to BH.
