Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 29381
Bibliographic fields should be hyperlinked
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
...so when the reader clicks the reference, it jumps to the bibliographic entry in the bibliographic index. I've searched the archives and am surprised why it hasn't been already suggested. Note: this applies to 1.1.2rc2, not 1.1.2.
MRU->ES: please comment before reassigning to UserExp.
Where should the cursor jump if the reference exist 6 times in the document? The first one? The last one? Note: a bibliography is not a table of contents, an alphabetical index or endnotes. A bibliography entry does not contain references to page it has been inserted in. For those reasons I'd reject this enhancement I set David as CC for comments
nunotavares->ES: you're looking at it backwards. The reference/link would be applied in the body text, not in the bibliographic index. Exactly the opposite direction of a TOC Index hyperlink.

Clicking on a bibliographic reference (citation) field, should probably bring up the Edit Bibliographic entry (citation) dialog. Clicking on Footnote/Endnote citation numbers (footnote citation not yet supported) should jump to the Footnote/Endnote.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
