Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 29674
text only save
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:36:02 UTC
On Microsoft Powerpoint there's a nice property that lets you to save the text part of the whole presentaion as rich text format. Such a function either in export or in save as would be really beneficial. Or it's harder but could be still usable that text only print, but not page by page. It's alot more page saving than usual page by page printing of presentation.
Reassigned to Bettina.

I have tried to replicate that process on Openoffice version OOO310m19 (Build: 9420) but still I didn’t find any option to save or export the whole presentation as just text. Here are the steps which followed: 1. Open a black presentation. 2. Write anything into the blank presentation. 3. Go to File -> Save As or Save or press CNTL + S Now from the dropdown menu of “Save as Type” there is no option to save or export as just text (like .rtf (Rich Text Format)). Also while exporting the presentation there is no option to export as the presentation as .rtf in OO Impress. There is an option in Microsoft Presentation to save and export the presentation as .rtf. This feature is very helpful for Interoperability. So I the enhancement to allow the presentation to save or export as .rtf would be great. Configuration: Openoffice version OOO310m19 (Build: 9420) Windows Vista Home Premium
This feature is not implemented yet. It gives a user the option to copy all his text so that he can use it with a word processor and create a writen handout. He had not to type all the text.
