Description oldphart1 2004-07-04 03:55:41 UTC
I am trying to install OO 1.1.2 on RH Linux 7.3.

The installation directory is in /home (just happened to be where all the
space was). The installation setup -net fails with the report that the
temporary directory /tmp/suXXX.tmp is full.

As the /tmp filesystem in RH 7.3 is a memory filesystem, it is always full.

Hi oldphart1,

thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org...

As of wrote we need more info:
- Do you mount /tmp to a ramdisk?
- What's the result of "df -h ." in the /tmp directory?
- You wrote:"As the /tmp filesystem in RH 7.3 is a memory filesystem, it is
always full."
    ==> ???

Another question:
what about removing old, unused files out of /tmp?
