Description aziem 2004-07-07 18:25:42 UTC
My solution
Before attempting a mail merge, OpenOffice checks the fields used in a document
against the data source. If fields are missing, the user is given a warning.

My problem
I use one .sxw as a mail merge template and merge it to a .sxc data source. I
change the data source daily. Sometimes I forget to add a field to the new data
source. OOo proceeds anyway and uses the last available value for that field
(from yesterday) over and over again.

Tnank you.

Microsoft Office has similar behavior to the behavior I propose.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
