Description rivanvx 2004-07-13 22:14:49 UTC
This was introduced between 680m41 and 680m45 and it's still present in 680m47.
Window state and position are not saved, regardless of the application: it's the
same for Writer, Calc, Help window etc.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Writer.
2. Resize it or maximize it.
3. Close Writer.
4. Open Writer again and you will notice it has default window size or that it
isn't maximized like it was before it was closed.
Using Quickstarter doesn't affect it in any way.

os->cd: Your problem?
Comment 2 carsten.driesner 2004-07-14 13:46:05 UTC
CD->AS: Can you please have a look at this problem. As my changes were
introduced in m47 and this has been broken before, it looks more like a bug in
the SvtViewOptions, framework code.
Comment 3 caiot1 2004-08-13 23:28:17 UTC
This is a framework issue, I can confirm in 1.9m49 (680m49), in Windows XP.

The problem was the changed mechanism related to the little closer of the
menubar and closing of frames in generell. I've changed it in the way, that we
listen for frame action events instead of closing frame events now.

It works now for all application modules, which are described inside Setup.xcu
configuration file.

I'm not 100% sure this is fixed. I tried 680m54 win32 build, but it seems to
have the same problem. Did anyone else test it too?
Comment 8 mandreiana 2004-10-15 08:03:13 UTC
Confirming it's not fixed in m56
Comment 9 andreas.schluens 2004-10-18 09:07:25 UTC
Please dont reopen this task ... because its realy fixed. But actually its not
available on the master build! The fix exists on my cws fwkbugfix03, which will
be integrated next time. (e.g. into the m58 or m59 version).

Is issue 36616 related to this?

"OpenOffice does not accept the Xwindowing system command --geometry on startup
to specify the initial window position."

Checked on Windows and Solaris and works -> verified.
Comment 16 steffen.grund 2005-10-10 13:50:38 UTC
