Description jlgasand 2004-07-21 19:53:55 UTC
When I click in the subindex (or superindex) bottom, the subindex has a relative
size of 58% versus when I click in Character (via Format menu or right click)
the subindex then has a relative size of 80%.

Please describe step by step what you do, get and expect.
Comment 3 jlgasand 2004-07-23 23:49:28 UTC
For example, I like to write "Xa" (where "a" is a subindex).

First process
-------------
I write "Xa", select "a" with mouse and click in subindex icon. Now the "a" is a
subindex, but it's very small. I check in menu Format>>Character >>Position that
the relative size is 58%, when I expected al least 80%.

Second process
--------------
I repeat the process, I write "Xa", select "a", and now go to the menu
Format>>Character>>Position and select subindex. Now the relative size by
default is 80%, when I expected.

- type some text
- select it
- Format - Character - Position
- Set to superscript with relative font size to 80% (default is 58%)
- do the same using the context menu directly (Style - Superscript)
-> While the dialog (Format - Character - Position) saves the last entered
percentage, the context menu always applies the default percentage (58%).
Enhancement: the context menu should use the last entered percentage too .

Related with this:

It could be interesting too, having a sub/superscript style (size and position)
related with the character style.
