Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 32653
clipboard type is unavailable should ask if the user wants to paste special
Last modified: 2013-09-30 05:11:17 UTC
Sometimes when I am pasting formatted text from a web browser to OOo writer, I get a dialog that says the requested clipboard format is unavailable and it doesn't paste anything. Since I really want to paste the data, I open the past special dialog. I usually try HTML and when that doesn't work, I try unformatted text. It would be nice if the paste special dialog could be opened when a paste fails (maybe a configuration option to try it).
JA: changed title from "clipboard type id unavailable should as if the user wants to paste special" to "clipboard type is unavailable should ask if the user wants to paste special" as submitter asked in qa-dev
Please comment before reassigning to Bh.
ES->BH: as described, "sometimes" (will have to see with DEV when it is so) the default clipboard format cannot be inserted. OOo should then display the Paste special dialog.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
