Description dongcalmada 2004-08-12 05:46:32 UTC
Everytime I open tables on Data Sources panel (after successfully logging in),
all tables are shown read-only. I, therefore, cannot update, insert, delete records.

But I can enjoy all my privileges using MySQL client and iodbctest (which uses
the same .odbc.ini). With iodbctest, I can do all I can on MySQL client.

I even tried a work-around macro published on OOoForum (touted to resolve this
'readonly' problem), but to no avail.

Here are applications/packages installed:

OpenOffice 1.1.2
MySQL-server 4.1.3-0, etc.
MyODBC 3.51
iODBC

clu->dongcalmada: this seems to be a known bug in the MyODBC 3.5 driver (do not
fit to odbc standard) - may you try to create a new data source connection from
type: MySQL (not ODBC! - also in the listbox by choosing database type) - in
core it is odbc too, but it ignore some invalid responses from the driver - this
should work: can you acknowledge that?

no respond - problem seems to be fixed
