Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 33235
Insert Indexes on dual monitor system results in crash
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
When the Insert Index/Table function in OpenOffice Write is used on a dual monitor system OpenOffice will hang. The problem lies in displaying the preview. When the "Preview" function is turned off (have to boot in single monitor first) the function doesn't cause any more problems. I found the problem in all OpenOffice 1.x.x releases.
Reassigned to ES.
Hi rkalff, thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice... - which distribution do you use? - where did you get OOo from? (distributor/OpenOffice.org) - which X-Configuration do you use? This is not reproduceable here on my mandrake linux using Xinerama. Please try again with a newer version than OOo1.0.0 and send a new comment if this problem occurs again...
I also tried with the newest version of OpenOffice and that results in the same problem. The latested install (with the same problem) is from OOo. This if my configuration, XF86Config file is in the attach: Dell Workstation 530 Intel Xeon 2.0GHz 1GB ECC RAM Matrox Millennium G450 DualHead Xinerama Dell D1626HT 21" 2x 1280 x 1024 24bpp Mandrake 10 Kernel 2.6.3-7 XFree86-4.3-30 KDEBase-3.2-79

ES->MCI: any chance to get this reproduce here?
At the moment our Xinerama machine is heavily in use for other projects... :(
ES->MCI: Please keep an eye on this! You know I can't, I only have one eye ;)
removed me from cc
Hi rkalff, thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org... Sorry for the delay... Now I've got the time and the machine to have a look at this issue... This is reproduecable here on my system, too... It's a "Linux-only" issue... (It doesn't occur on Soalris) I'm going to attach a stacktrace to this issue, maybe this helps... reassigned to es mci->es: Hi es, this issue is reproduceable here on our Xinerama system... Please reassign this issue to the appropriate developer...

ES->OS: please have a look.
Looks like a VCL issue (_ZN18ExtendedFontStruct12LoadEncodingEt )
.
please confirm that the problem still exists with a recent build
as expected: ok on Solaris in m118... I will try Linux later...
no problem here on Mandrake-Linux using Xinerama and SRC680m119... setting resolution to fixed...
