Description fitirocz 2004-10-19 19:34:14 UTC
This is under Windows XP Pro SP2 and OOo1.1.3

Steps:
1) in cell A1, enter 300
2) in cell B1, enter "hello"
3) in cell A2, enter formula =CONCATENATE(A1,B1)
4) hit enter
5) click on cell A1
6) on the toolbar click the "Number Format:Percent" button

The value of cell A1 changes to 30000.00%.
However the concatenated value stays the same and does not
update with the formatting changes.

Hi,

changing the format of a1 is changing a view of a value, not the underlying data
itself. As we act in the same way as Excel does, I have to close this Issue as
invalid.
