typographic characters as / (slash) or , (comma used as single opening quotation
mark) remains at the end of the previous line instead of “gluing†to the
consecutive text

I can confirm this with the path (but not the comma thinggy) with OOo-1.1.3-de
under SuSE 9.1, but not with 1.9.56. So this seems to disappear in the new
versions of OOo.

duplicate.

Don't use the coma as quotation mark, use typographic (smart) quotes instead
(Tools|AutoCorrect/AutoFormat -> Custom quotes)
If you need a "'", press <ctrl>+z after the replacement or switch off
autocorrection using Format|Autofomat -> apply while typing
