Calc and Writer both have the new Autoshapes, but the Connector tools are
absent. This reduces the usefulness of the Autoshapes (e.g. unable to do
flowcharts in these applications).

As a real-life example, employees in my organization rely on Excel extensively
for flow-charts. The connector is present in Excel and Word.

2.0 is coming along quite nicely, keep up the good work.

MRU->BH: Until now it was never planned to have connectors in Writer/Calc. But
now, with the new shapes implementation...

Any chance of a target being set for this?  It truly would improve the
usefulness of shapes in Writer/Calc.

Any chance to get this feature soon? Without it, the drawing capability in the
write is just a child toy.

The shapes are implemented.. why not implement the connectors as well for better
compatibility?

this would be the icing on the cake.  Many people use flowcharts alongside a
table of instructions etc. and draw does not have tables.  Putting a chart
symbol anchored as a character in a table is great, except for the lack of
connectors

On a duplicate issue someone mentioned that if you:
- draw two rectangles in OO Writer, 
- cut&paste them in Draw, connect them there with a "Connector" line, 
- then select all, copy&paste them back in Writer
Then you can't arrange the connector because it pastes as an image.

Well, at least in 3.1, if you UNGROUP the pasted result, you can now reposition
the connector, and even cut&paste it to create new connections.

BUT, save the document and open it back and the connections are messed up.

So it looks like the feature is there in Writer, but as it doesn't work
correctly, the button was removed.

If you Regroup the shapes after modifying it 
or if edit the grouped shape 
then save your document, close and open it.
Your connexions are OK


This issue concern Writer and Calc, why is there no issue for Calc ?

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
