Description andvaranaut 2004-11-07 23:22:30 UTC
1) Fire up Impress.

2) Insert an image with 'Linked' selected, or drag and drop an image file to
Impress, so that you create a linked image.

3) Click on the scissors to crop the image.

4) Crop the image. For the sake of it, let's say we crop 2cm from each side.

5) Save the file, close it and reopen it. All OK.

6) Repeat steps 1-4. Then, click Edit>Links and break the link to the inserted
image.

7) Save the file, close and reopen.

8) The image is not correctly cropped. The image size in the document is
conserved OK, and the 2cm cropping is also, but OOo thinks that the original
size is different, so the result is different.

9) Wait, there is more. Repeat steps 1-4, (don't break the link) and select the
linked image. Insert any other image (not linked). The new image replaces the
old image, inheriting size and cropping. Save and reopen. Voilà, you are back
with the linked image.

Tested in 1.1.3 in Linux, both Fedora Core 2 and Gentoo (binary). Not only
weird, but rather annoying.
