Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 37155
Impossible to create a working macro containing a goal seek feature
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
Create a spreadsheet with the two operands in cell B1 and B2 and a formula in cell B3 (eg B3=B1*B2). Creating a macro that invokes the goal seeker to calculate the value of cell B1, given the value of B2 so that B3 is equal to a given number yields to a non working macro.

Created attachment 19295 [details] Operands in B1 and B2. B3 contains the formula (B3=B1*B2). A macro has been created that invokes goalseekr to calculate the exact value of B1 so that B3 is 15 (any value reproduces the defect, anyway)
Hi Joerg, please have a look at this one. Frank
I prefer to send this to NN because i can hardly determine what is expected to work and what not. Since the macro has been created with the macro recorder, i do not believe this can be fixed in a reasonable timeframe. According to the OpenOffice.org PCD i confirm the issue but leave the target of "OOo Later", set it dupe to issue #20046 *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 20046 ***
