I see that the request to get more then 256 columns has currently been denied, 
 Could we get an option to select between importing data as rows or as columns.
 The example I have is a long comma delimited list,  500 or so entries all as
one stream with no breaks.   This will currently clip at 256 columns in row 1
and stop.    If I could tell it to import everything to column 1 instead of
everything to row 1 would make things much nicer

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
