Description fransvc 2004-12-01 07:55:57 UTC
Within Draw is it possible to Copy and Paste Objects :)
When you select an object, copy and Paste, the object is on the same position.

Is it possible to place the pasted object to a selectable distance.
The standard should be 5 point right, 5 point down.

This is more an enhancement than a defect because the behavioour is wanted.
Changed the issue type.
Reassigned to Bettina.

In 46810 I suggested pasting at the centre of the current view. This way a
reproduced item would be visible no mater where pan and zoom had taken us from
the original location.

This issue actually presents two problems:

1. Because the pasted object is exactly on top of the copied object, it's possible to forget it's there and
have an unwanted accumulation of multiple objects in the same place.

2. In a zoomed in situation, it may require that the pasted object get dragged all over the place to its
desired position.

My desired RFE would be:
1. Copy the object
2. Scroll to another location.
3. Click the mouse pointer at another location.
4. Paste and the object appears at the newly selected location.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
