Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 38189
Grouped drawing objects too large
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
The grouped graphics on page 3 do not render properly. o They are differently sized than the word 2k rendering o The five logos overlayed on top of the arrows show a different graphic in OOo than in Word2k. While trying to create a smaller test case file in Word 2k, I was able to trip up some other import problems with the .doc filter. Let me know if I should create seperate issues for those.
Created attachment 19952 [details] 9 files - three .doc files (origional & 2 test cases) with pdf output from Word 2k and OOo 1.9.m62
Also, the TOC has a dark gray background in OOo (but only in edit mode). I don't know if that is expected for TOCs.
TOC's in OO Writer are always shaded grey (to highlight them from normal text) until this is toggled by the User in "Tools.Options.OpenOffice.Appearance". I made the summary of this issue more meaningful to the original problem here.
MRU->SJ: the group contains cropped graphic. This has to be taken in mind, when transforming the graphics into bjects for Writer. Take the file "test case (graphic...).doc" from the attached .zip archive.
Thanks for thinking of a better summary, but I have to say, that several graphics (the headset over the question mark, laptop and envelopes) are smaller in OOo than when rendered in Word 2k. Also "Sales Force Automation" is non-wrapped in OOo and wrapped in Word 2k. In "test case (graphics are of different sizes, and logo doesn't render in OOo)" the larger logo at the top right is not displayed. Should I file seperate issues for these, or will they just be dupes?
Request summary change to: "Graphics not cropped properly & grouped drawing objects too small"
