8 bit EPS interchange previews are show only in blank and white and the grey
parts are all white and only the black is black.

This means any grey scale EPS preview is unviewable.

accepted, I will change the preview to a 1 bit-dithered bitmap

sj: If the feature to support 8 bit previews is implemented, this bug will be
fixed automatically, so I close this one.
