Description ed2 2004-12-19 20:10:09 UTC
When viewing a spreadsheet via the Mozilla plugin, the Calc formula bar is
visible at the top of the spreadsheet contents.

Since the Plugin supports only read-only opening of files, the "Function
Wizard", "Function" and "Sum" buttons have no function. It would therefore be
better to remove these buttons, rather than the current (rather unsatisfactory)
arrangement of the buttons being present, but doing absolutely nothing when pressed.

Also, I would suggest that the "Name Box" and "Input Line" should have a grey
background, to make it clear that these boxes are only there to allow contents
to be viewed, and text can not be entered into them.

I think the formular bar should not be visible.

The formula bar is still needed for read only documents, since it is the only
way to see the contents of cells when this is different to what is displayed
(such as cell contents being a formula, while the displayed contents is the
formula output). It is also the only way to see any names that have been applied
to cells.

I should also add that the "input line" should be renamed for the Mozilla
plugin, since contents can not be entered, so it is not really an "input line".
Something like "cell contents display" would be more suitable.

CD: The office is not aware running inside a plugin, so a special handling is
not possible. The plugin uses the read-only mode so it can only behave as a
read-only office. There is no chance to fix this for OOo 2.0, therefor change to
OOo Later.
