Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 39754
text boxes in xls file have wrong orientation
Last modified: 2005-01-28 18:16:41 UTC
The attached xls file contains a diagram created with autoshapes, with inserted textboxes. Some of the textboxes cannot be edited (see issue 39753). In addition, some textboxes display in Excel with the text rotated at 90 (the right hand box beginning "Border..) or 270 degrees (the left boxes beginning "Border.." and "Sweet peas" In 1.6.65 there is no rotation.
Created attachment 20947 [details] excel file with text boxes containing non-rotated text.
I have now imported the same file into ooo 1.1.4 on linux and windows. In both cases the orientation of the text is the same as in Excel, but the text boxes are the wrong shape: they have not adapted to the orientation of the text.
I will have a look at this
confirming
yes, this is a known limitation - see issue 29532. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 29532 ***
