Description vandan 2005-01-13 04:07:49 UTC
Here is a native OOo ( .odt ) document that causes a crash when opened under
OOo-1.9.69 on Linux ( 2.6.9 ). OOo crashes before displaying the document at all.

The document was created under OOo-1.9.65 on Windows 2000 sp4, and will re-open
under that system.

Incidentally, this document is also crashing the above Windows / OOo-1.9.65
setup when printing to a particular network printer, but I will file a separate
bug report for that.

I cannot reproduce this crash (SuSE Linux 9.1).
How do you open the file exactly?
Comment 4 vandan 2005-01-14 20:28:31 UTC
Copied file from network to my home drive ( didn't want to risk corrupting
things further ).
Opened terminal ( Eterm ). Typed:

/opt/OpenOffice/program/swriter Agenda.odt

Command prompt returned shortly after.

I tried a few more times, then just tried:

/opt/OpenOffice/program/swriter

and using the 'open file' dialog that appears when you hit the 'File Open' icon
( folder ) button. In this case OOo crashes almost immediately.
