I try to export a spreadsheet, select columns 1 and 4, go to export as PDF. If I
choose 'all' it works fine, if I choose 'selection' I get:
"Error saving the document file.sxc.
General error.
General input/output error."
As it says, I'm on 1.1.4 on W2K.

It works for me in ooo 1.9.65 or later, please try it from
http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html

As it's almost stable, please use it by default and report bugs for it. After
testing, please close this issue or confirm with details that it's still not fixed.

Indeed, in OOo 1.9.69 does not give any error.
Great.
However in the PDF I get a complete mess. I attached a sample file, and two
outputs: one with 'include selection' and one with 'include all'.

Thanks for testing. I get different results, but still not correct: When
exporting selection (A, D columns), only 1st column is exported. 
Note: I disabled macros on document loading, but columns A, D don't depend on
macros. They display ok in Calc.

Hi,

it's not a bug but a limitation. Non contiguos selections are not possible now
-> enhancement.
