Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 41930
RFE: enable zoom for database form
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:44:00 UTC
The viewing zoom option is disabled "greyed out" when a database form is opened for use or editing. I'm not sure if this was intended or not but I've had it open into a view which unusable because the text was so small and therefore unreadable. OOo fixed itself the next day by opening back to the previous zoom level but I could not find a way to fix it myself.
reassigned to MSC.
Hi, The problem with the zoom effect is fixed in a m77. But the zoom option has to be disabled. If the problem still occurs in a m77 please feel free to reopen this issue. Best regards, Ocke

I cannot verify this issue since the Zoom Menu Entry is *not* available (grayed out / disabled) in the OOo-Base-Form (either in edit-mode nor in user-mode). Zooming works with CTRL+Mousewheel.
ja: confirmed in src680m161
Hi, I reassign this enhancement to the User Experience team for evaluating. Bye Marc

Please, try to fix this issue! It is still not working in 2.3.0 RC1. The main Problem is, that the last used zoomfactor in a wirter-document is automaticly assined to the base-forms. The only way to change is actuell Ctrl + mouseweel. But this is not sufficient for normal users....

fs->os: The attached patch re-enables the zoom functionality for Writer documents which are embedded, but opened outplace. It does not touch the zoom functionality for inplace documents. Care to review it? It it finds your grace, I'd commit it to a CWS of mine. Thanks.
fs->os: FYI The issue for Writer and "Writer/Form" using the same zoom configuration is covered by issue 92942.
->fs: Looks good. Thank you for fixing my bugs ;-)
you're welcome ;)
