Description norbert2 2005-02-16 22:12:49 UTC
Pasting text does not work correct.

I think it's a general problem, concerning all platforms, but I don't know:

To reproduce the bug you need WindowsXP, because I have attached the necessary
clipboard content as .clp-file.

Steps to reproduce:

- start C:\WINDOWS\system32\clipbrd.exe
- open the attached file with that program to copy its content into the
clipboard (just double-clicking .clp-files seems not to work due to a windows-bug)
- open OOo writer
- press CTRL+V:

You can see that only
"Fr 18.02 20:15 (RTL)
Moderation: Mit Günther Jauch"
has bee pasted.

But if you paste into another program, for example Notepad or an other
OOo-application, you can see that the clipbaord contains more!

(Can also be reproduced with OOo 1.9.77.)

MRU->DVO: the clipboard content (only plain text) from this clp file can not be
inserted completely into Writer. Calc & Draw work correctly (also a large
competitor...)

Isn't this issue worth Prio=2 and/or target=2.0?

The user could think that he has pasted all clipboard content and after
overwriting the clipboard.... data loss!
