Description bigserpent 2005-02-26 13:57:50 UTC
To install OO to user directory it is required to select custom installation.
But in this case a lot of components are not selected by default. And the
installer interface doesn't allow selecting them all by single click; each
component requires its own click. So in order only to change the installation
directory user has to do lots of actions.
I suggest one of 3 solutions (or all of them):
1. having all components selected by default in the case of custom installation
2. changing the installer to allow selection of subcomponents by selection of a
upper node
3. dividing custon installation of components and path into two independent options.

That's not a defect: Works as designed.

To 2. Openeing the help dialog might solver your problem

I just want to state two things - this behaviour is inconvenient (requires
additional actions in rather common case) and the 2.0 will be released soon, so
the "enhancement" status can shift this issue for good.
