Sorry I have to give you guys credit first before I suggest something. What
you have done is incredible.

Please forgive for making this comparison but I truely belive that you can and
will dominate the market if you have the same fuctionality as Office. The only
componet your missing is a mail apps simular to outlook. I believe that if you
had this functionality you would start to see success stories of corps
replacing competitors with your software. Now the other side of this is you
would have to have traing to get user famalir with your product. I'm sure
everyone that logs in has a big idea that will help break up the dominance but
all of the alternatives suffer from the same issues of lack of some
functionality. I've tried everything that I can to replace office but I still
need Outlook.

Now would you have to start from scratch? I don't know but are you familar with
evolution? I think this is also open source to some extent. MS built most of
their reputation on functionality and inovation - with enough focus perhaps we
can beat them at their own game.

Hi Louis,

Should this be redirected to a groupware project owner and not me.
Lingucomponent is not the place for this.

Thanks,

Kevin

groupware needs scheduling also

Just an idea if it gets passed along. Maybe, if possible, you can
work with Ximian the makers of Evolution. It is a well known and
great product for Linux. It might be something only the StarOffice
folks can work with. But maybe OO.o can work on a port for windows.

Just thought I would throw that out there for maybe a little
discussion.

Multiuser/Groupware: What Adam Moore says 2002-06-17 09:09 PDT plus
that this will take some time to plan, build, test and release it...

Singleuser: Take Mozilla as an alternative if you *only* read/send
mails and news and browse the web.

I wanted to mark this as 'resolved' because it's being tracked in the
groupware component's IZ???
