Description iqgryn 2005-03-06 01:02:57 UTC
The file icons for OpenOffice.org 2.0 Beta look bad on non-white backgrounds.
The edges seem to have been improperly or incompletely alpha-blended. A minor
issue, but it really should be fixed before the final release. The public and
it's first impressions, yada yada. I'll attach a screenshot in a sec.

Note about the screenshot:

I selected two of the icons before I took the shot because the selected ones
look (much) better than the nonselected ones. But, if you look closely at the
right side of them, kinda near the bottom, there's still a little raggedness.
Again, a very minor issue.

Another Note:

I make no claims to actually understanding alpha-blending, I just know that
everyone else manages to make their icons look good on any background, and I've
heard that's what they use to do it.

Correct, but it's a duplicate issue, unfortumately.
