This issue is only about the German wording, maybe this is the wrong scope,
I'll check if the same problem exists in the English version and maybe file
an additional issue. This problem came up on dev@de, see e.g.
http://de.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=16843
if you want more context. Thanks to David Schröder for suggesting this.

In the Label creation dialog there is a checkbox item labelled "Inhalte
synchronisieren" (see screenshot above). I do think this is a very unfortunate
wording, because:

a) It falsely suggests that this is for "synchronizing" adresses to the
database and/or a PDA. This misconception is even more a problem, because
adress labels are most likely the most common application of this dialog.

b) "Synchronisieren" is a needlessly "difficult" word by itself. It is not
(IMHO) what users would use to describe this action.

I would suggest using a different wording, like e.g.:

"Änderungen auf alle Etiketten übertragen"
"Gleichen Text auf alle Etiketten übertragen"
"Gleicher Text auf allen Etiketten"
"Alle Etiketten haben den gleichen Inhalt"

Additionally, the labelling of the actual "button" (a floating one-button
palette) that comes up after this dialog might have to be changed for
consistency's sake too. Actually this *is* inconsistent right now,
because the text in the dialog seems to have changed from 1.1 to 2.0,
but the button has not (have not checked this).

Thanks!

SBA: Confirmed. Reassigned to LIZ.

Thank you for the excellent description and the screen shot.

Agreed: "synchronisieren" is not the best choice here and since there is no lack
of space we should replace it with a more usable text. (In all affected languages)

This is not only a problem in German, but in English as well. Plus, the same
strings are used for the business cards as for labels. Therefore the strings
should be applicable to both, not specific for labels (--> the button text below
is incorrect anyway for business cards)

liz->os: please do two things 1) separate the resource strings so that there are
separate ones for labels vs business cards. 2) use the following new strings in
German and English. Thx!

Synchroni~ze contents ----> Apply the same text to all labels
Inhalte ~synchronisieren ---> Gleichen Text auf alle Etiketten übertragen
PRJ sw
Filename source\ui\envelp\labprt.src
Build SRC680
GID TP_LAB_PRT
LID CB_SYNCHRON
Type checkbox

---> Apply the same text to all business cards
----> Gleichen Text für alle Visitenkarten übernehmen
[for the new business card check box resource]

Synchronize Labels ---> Apply to All
Etiketten synchronisieren ----> Für alle übernehmen
PRJ sw
Filename source\ui\envelp\label.src
Build SRC680
GID DLG_SYNC_BTN
LID BTN_SYNC
Type pushbutton
