Description oblomov 2002-05-04 13:07:36 UTC
I noted this while testing Calc and having a look at the Define Names dialog that it is not
resizable. This can become a PITN when there are very long range names or range values defined
(you have to click on the range field and scroll to the end). If the dialog was resizable, this
wouldn't be much a problem.

I'm posting the issue here because I think all dialogs should be
made resizable (at least when they can potentially hold "too much" data).

This issue should get high priority. A milestone 2.0.x would be cool :-). Filing
umpteen of reports for each dialog which is not resizable is simply annoying.
All UI components which keep the user in leading-strings instead of assisting
him should be considered broken.

E.g. see:
issue 26036
issue 29476
issue 35507
issue 38392
issue 42195
issue 46460

The dialog for defining/inserting cross references and fields is another
candidate. It is just unusable, if the field and property names get longer than
a certain amount of characters.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
