Description olsanjan 2005-03-16 13:40:28 UTC
When you change (and save) a MS Word 97/2000/XP *.doc format file in OOo, if
you open the file in MS Word again the statistics window will report revision
number of 1 and editing time of 0.

This is bad when you want to edit files on multiple computers (school, home,
work).

(I found this defect in all versions of OOo I tried: 1.1.0, 1.1.2 and
1.9.77 /snapshot build/, MS word was version 2000 on win98 or win2k)

MRU->MBA: document statistics should somehow be also supported correctly on
export to MS Office Formats.
Comment 2 olsanjan 2005-05-16 13:17:18 UTC
seems to be fixed in versions 1.1.4 and 1.9.100.

Revision: It is *not* fixed.

My mistake, I checked that only in W98's shell extension (rightclick,
properties, and so on). Curiosly, while in shell extension everything is OK, MS
Word still reports 0 minutes, revision 1. If you save the file then (in MS
Word), this is reported in the shell extension as well.

Seems OOo can satisfy windows shell with its fake-doc, but not MS office...

Issue unsolved yet, then...
