Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 45700
Right justify some text on line, but not all
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:35:59 UTC
In WordPerfect, I could select text at the end of a line, select "align right" (I think that's what it was, it's been a long time), and only the selected text would move to the right margin. In OO.o (all versions I've tested, including 2.0beta (1.7.9), the above process aligns the entire line of text. This makes setting text at the left margin, and setting more text on that line at the right margin very difficult, if not impossible. I've had to do it with tabs and spaces, and it's messy. Couldn't I do what I could do in WordPerfect, and have a nice, clean document?
Currently, this can only be done by using Tabulators. But the suggested way could be a good automatism.
