Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4576
Won't Work With Other Users
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I installed OpenOffice on my Windows XP machine, and it worked fine. However, when I changed users, I got errors. Anything I can do?
First: Please be more specific. Second: If your "errors" are not limited to the word processor (i.e. they appear in spreadsheets too), please set the component to "Framework". After doing so, please reassign this issue to Olaf (of@openoffice.org). Thank you. Reassigned to Submitter.
I just reinstalled it in a different folder. Seems to be a problem with having multiple users on one XP machine
Same problem on Windows NT. After new login with another User OOo1.0 informs about a corrupt ini- configuration. Error in german: Die Konfigurationsdatei [...]\sversion.ini unterstützt nicht diese Version [Ja] (Yes) starts the Setup-Utility to repair the configuration.
Hello everyone. This sounds like an issue with the installation of OOo. Please make sure you are installing OOo using the multi-user setup option. The setup guide contains information on how to install OOo on multi- user OSes. http://documentation.openoffice.org/setup_guide/index.html I'm closing this issue for now. If the problem still exists, feel free to reopen this issue and list step by step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
