Description umr5174 2005-03-22 14:49:15 UTC
Hello !

In "Tools: options: OpenOffice.org: appearance", all colours are set to
"automatic", so the background colour is blue (from my KDE colours, I suppose),
and "font color" is yellow.
I change background colour to white: the automatic font colour keeps yellow.
I open a new text document and write characters: they are yellow on white
background.
I open a new spreadsheet: idem.
I open a new empty presentation choosing a 2 frame slide (title + text) and
write: my text is yellow on white, but, as soon as I click outside the text, it
becomes yellow on blue background.

The 'automatic' text colour associated with Turquoise 8, which is dark, should
be white; instead, it remains black (hard to see), under OO v.3.0.
Comment 4 tab 2009-05-23 21:05:01 UTC
The issue(comment 2009jan19) remains under v.3.1.0, under Windows XP.

IMHO rename automatic to default.
"Automatic" misleads users to believe colors are not independent and calculated by system for contrast.
