Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 45792
True Type UI fonts antialiased with every second startup on KDE
Last modified: 2005-04-04 16:18:25 UTC
I am finding that with every second boot of OpenOffice 2.0 beta that the true type fonts for display doesn't seem to function properly and the whole screen looks messy like Linux did before it used true type supoort effectively. Restarting the program solves the problem
Please be a little bit more presize... which distro? Window managaer? Computer properties? FONTS?? Do you use. Please also add a screenshot.
I was using suse 9.2, KDE 3.4 P4 2.2, 512mb fonts : is there an eay way to get an output of this. The main problem wasn't with just the fonts in the document but the fonts for the whole program, menus etc. I've since uninstalled and running SO 8 beta, but I'll reinstall and attach screenshot.
sounds vaguely like i45147
sounds vaguely like issue 45147
It's nothing like issue 45147 Fonts in the menu is not the problem, it's the display of fonts for the whole program
>> It's nothing like issue 45147 .. that's why i wrote sounds _vaguely_ like issue 45147, because what they do have in common is that during every second startup of OOo fontloading routines don't work correctly. >> Fonts in the menu is not the problem, it's the display of fonts for the whole >> program Hhm, what do you mean? What is "the menu"? What is "the whole program"? Please also attach a screenshot as requested by 'es'. Thanks, Max
Created attachment 24324 [details] with the font issue
Created attachment 24325 [details] without the font issue (every second boot)
adjusting summary
Actually, with my issue 45147, it did affect the fonts throughout the entire program. However, as noted in my final respone to 45147, the issue is apparently fixed in 1.9.87.
Okay, I'll give that build a go...thanks :)
manicka, i close this issue for now, please reopen if the problem reoccurs.
