Description rimga 2005-03-23 16:03:37 UTC
Hello,

there are problems with character coding when saving documents as html. I typed
some text with lithuanian letters and tried to save it as html document. Then
writter said that some of characters are not in selected charset. But i had
selected right charset (Tools->Options->HTML compatibility->Charset). ISO
8859-13 in first case and Windows-1257 in second (look at the pictures i assigned).

I cannot reproduce it (OOo 1.1.3 and src680m95 on Linux).
I pasted from http://orwell.ru/info/lithuanian the block "Modern (today)
Lithuanian alphabet" in Writer/Web. No warning and all characters are ther after
reload.
I also switched the keyboard layout to lithuanian and typed the concerned
characters. No problem.

Please indicate your operating system and use a develeopper version to report bugs.

Hi,

i repeated listed actions and succesfully reproduced error. I use OOo 1.1.3 in
Windows XP OS.
I found the origins of the problem. I set Win-1257 encoding but in html it was
set Win-1250:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="CONTENT-TYPE" CONTENT="text/html; charset=windows-1250">
Now i do not have OO 20 version, but at home i will check it and will contact
you soon with comments.
