Impress doesn't remember "Slides" pane state between sessions.
There are three editing modes in which it appears, and it doesn't
restore the pane's state based on any of them.

I personally think this is a feature, not a bug.  The default state of the panes
is restored with every start of StarOffice.  This helps inexperienced users to
"reset" the UI when they have accidentally turned off the slide sorter.

->CJ: What do you think about this?  When we change it, do we need a spec for it?

CJ -> AF: I would say this is a bug. OO.o should rember users last ui config
settings.
